Like many GBUS graduates, KK began his career working with a major management consulting firm where he gained valuable exposure in interacting with clients and senior management. A year later, however, KK's passion led him to diverge from his career path and start his own business, Gigonzone, which became the first online group buying platform in Hong Kong and the catalyst for the subsequent online group buying boom in the city.

At the beginning, KK created a Facebook group to build up a large consumer base and introduce the concept of group buying. He posted regular discounts in the group and offered special deals to encourage friend referrals. Within a month, the group had already grown to over 10,000 members. The business model has evolved since then, and now Gigonzone has its own website which offers daily specials for dining, entertainment, fashion and more. Since its launch in January 2010, Gigonzone has helped tens of thousands of members save over a million dollars (HKD).

During university, KK's exchange out experience and participation in business competitions allowed his entrepreneurial spirit to blossom. He and several classmates triumphed over 300 teams to win the Silver Award of the HSBC Young Entrepreneur Awards. These all helped lay a solid foundation for him to start his career as an entrepreneur.
