A pioneer in Asia for Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs), HKUST has been offering a variety of professional online courses in recent years on major e-learning platforms created by top universities worldwide with an objective to widen access to university-level education and encourage lifelong learning.

Alumni around the globe can now enroll in the following three HKUST MOOCs for free on HKMOOC , a joint e-learning platform to facilitate collaboration in teaching and learning for Hong Kong's tertiary education sector and to adopt innovative pedagogies for enhancing the learning experience of students. You will get an electronic certificate for free after completing the courses and assignments!

About HKUST MOOCs Offered to Alumni

  • Free, structured and timetabled courses together with online activities including online quizzes and forum discussions. You will learn at your own pace within the designated time frame
  • Assessment on course assignments and feedback through discussion forum will be provided for free by teaching staff who are experienced academics of HKUST
  • An electronic certificate will be issued for free to registered alumni who have completed the courses and assignments. You can add this certificate to your CV or resume, or post it on LinkedIn
